Is there any type of religious base to LEAP?
Yes. Bible stories, songs, memory verses, prayers, etc. Overall LEAP instructors will help your child learn the concept of showing Jesus’ love by helping and serving others.
What curriculum will LEAP use to teach our Explorers?
LEAP instructors are certified in the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum and will use it as a resource to create a learning environment to meet our students individual needs.
How does LEAP handle discipline in the classroom?
LEAP believes in using positive reinforcement to create or enhance a desired behavior. As a result, negative behaviors become less important and positive behavior receives sought attention. Our goal is to use time out infrequently and as a “thinking chair” for a child who is struggling to make good choices.
Are all LEAP instructors trained in CPR and First Aid?
Yes! Providing a safe learning environment is our priority.
What should my preschooler wear to LEAP?
Our instructors find great joy in observing how our preschoolers express themselves! We encourage clothing that allows for lots of hands-on adventures!
Does my child have to be potty trained?
No, we welcome children in any stage of their potty training journey and are happy to help when your child is ready for this skill.
What are your days and hours?
LEAP explorers are at school Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to noon, with optional lunch bunches and adventure Friday’s planned in advance, that may include an extra fee.
How will multi-aged children learn together?
Studies show that two ages learning together in an environment that encourages cooperation leads to leadership and a sense of community in the classroom. Our early learners program will keep your child busy and engaged through countless activities focusing on educational fundamentals and social skill development that will prepare them for success in kindergarten.
What does a day at LEAP look like?
Our day unfolds with a variety of ways to explore many learning centers, practice listening skills, fine and gross motor skills, and to express and regulate emotions.
